Maxine Bilodeau is a 2nd year Journalism and Media Communication major at Colorado State University, where she edits and fact checks the writing in College Avenue Magazine, in addition to being a reporter for The Rocky Mountain Collegian. The purpose of her writing is to spotlight the stories of under-represented perspectives, to cover important current events, and to keep the CSU and broader Fort Collins community informed. To her, journalism is both an opportunity to learn more about the world, as well as an essential civil service to it. Apart from her career, she enjoys reading a good book, rock climbing, and making music as a cellist.
