5 Cheap and Easy Christmas Decorations

The holiday season is upon us, and Christmas is just around the corner. Here are some cheap easy decorating hacks to try this year.

1. Bows!

Bows have made a comeback in the world of fashion, so why not use them to decorate for Christmas? You can use ribbon to tie bows around your kitchen cabinets to make them look like Christmas presents. You can also take ribbons to tie cute little bows onto your Christmas tree. They even look cute tied around your favorite mugs or glasses. Bows are a fun and easy way to add some simple decorations for the holiday season!

2. Wrapping Paper!

Wrapping paper is a super cheap way to decorate for the holiday season. It can be found at any craft store or Home Depot for cheap. One fun way to decorate with wrapping paper is taking down some of the paintings in your house and wrapping them up to look like presents hanging on your wall. If you already have any rectangular or boxed-shaped decorations in your house, just wrap them! This is a super easy way to make your house look incredibly festive and fun.

3. Ribbon!

Instead of using expensive garland for your staircase, try some festive ribbon to tie around it. This makes for a festive-looking staircase without the expense! You can also use ribbon to decorate any columns outside your house or poles. Anything you find that it can be wrapped around would create a very festive look.

4. Lights!

Lights can be used in many ways for the holidays. One way to decorate your front hall area is to hang up Christmas lights on the ceiling and add ornaments for a very Christmassy look. This can also be added to any ceiling in or outside of your house.  Another way to use lights on the inside of your house but have them show outside is by adding them to the outline of each window in your home. Lights are a very fun and simple way to decorate during the holidays.

5. Wreaths!

An easy way to make a DIY wreath for the holidays just uses 2 materials. First, grab a wire hanger and form it into a circular shape. Then grab some tissues, tear them up into strips, and begin to tie them around the wire. Make sure to push the tissue strips close together so they become full. This is a simple way to make little wreaths. You can even add lights around it or tiny ornaments as well!
