1. Sonny Lubick’s Steakhouse

Owned by Colorado State University royalty, former football coach Sonny Lubick’s restaurant offers a luxurious underground dining experience that exudes charm and romance. This classy establishment offers full bar service as well as high-quality steak, seafood, and an extravagant wine list. If loud crowds aren’t your thing, Sonny’s underground destination prevents overwhelming acoustics throughout the establishment and helps provide a peaceful dining experience.

 

2. Odell’s Brewery

One of Fort Collins’ staples is its one-of-a-kind breweries native to the city, Odell’s being the most well-known brewery in the area. This site offers live music, food trucks, and a fireside outdoor experience. In order to truly understand Fort Collins at its core, touring Odell’s is a must.

 

3. The Axe & Ale

This establishment is the best-reviewed axe-throwing range in the area and offers an extravagant beer list all outsourced from local breweries. While this place is perfect for large parties, it is also an ideal setting to break the ice on a first date, or even let out some stress after a hectic day with coworkers and classes.

 

4. ConTRAPtions Escape Rooms

Break out of an escape room by solving riddles and puzzles with your friends. ConTRAPtions Escape Rooms offer a variety of different themed rooms including; spaceship escapes, mafia mysteries, and spooky haunted houses. While this is not the only escape room in town, ConTRAPtions by far has the best mechanics to keep a group entertained.

 

5. Walrus Ice Cream

Established in 1987 in Old Town Fort Collins, Walrus Ice Cream continues to be a staple and arguably has the best ice cream in the Fort Collins area. With new flavors rotating in and out, Walrus offers 29 different flavors every day, with ten different flavors of just chocolate alone. Some of these flavors are also included in Colorado State University’s dining halls for all students to enjoy. The interior of the shop transports customers back to the 1980s with vintage memorabilia hanging throughout.
